    Wild Hosts NWHL All-Star Weekend

    Whitecaps Schipper, Lundquist and Brown participate in St. Paul

    The NWHL, a professional women's hockey league based in New York, brought it's All-Star Weekend to St. Paul, MN, on February 10-11, 2018. The Minnesota Wild hosted the events in TRIA Rink, the team's new, state-of-the-art practice facility.

    Current Whitecaps Kate Schipper and Sadie Lundquist played on opposite teams on the weekend, as Schipper was part of Team Leveille, while Lundquist was a member of Team Ott. Team Ott won the 4-on-4 game on Sunday afternoon, while Team Leveille came away with the Skills Competition victory on Saturday night. Schipper competed in the Fastest Skater competion and won her race. Lundquist took part in the Breakaway Contest, scoring on both goaltenders she faced.

    Current Whitecap Winny Brown was the coach for Team Leveille, and former Whitecap and 1998 U.S. Gold Medalist Tricia (Dunn) Luoma was on the bench for Team Ott.
